If Isaac needs to be busy with his house, he should enjoy the time off, but otherwise he should dig up a co-host instead of doing a solo show. Will we ever hear from Scott again? Joe seems pretty negative about Mint these days. Maybe Bill could come back on.
Thanks guys for the LM18.2 review. I have two boxes installed, one 32B and the other 64B, with no problems. One thing I was disappointed in was that Cinnamon has now no means to resize an individual desktop icon. I must be the only one as no one else has complained. I usually do a fresh install and use a Bash script to install my favourite apps. Enjoy your holiday, Rob.
PS – I had a look at the Mint Forum (should have looked before!) and found that installing dconf-editor allows me to resize a cinnamon desktop icon by unticking “use-desktop-grid” – happy now.
Really enjoy listening to the show! Instead of buying $50 Ebay laptops I just ask my friends for their old or ‘broken’ computers. I got six free computers in less than six months. I can experiment with new distros or whatever with no fear.
