While I was happy to upgrade to 17.1 I was a bit disappointed when programs were not updated such as LibreOffice. I would really rather not have to resort to repos to get the updates that I want, that it was done via the update center. A bigger concern that I have is the release of Ubuntu Mate, while I am happy to see Mate being used by a larger audience I still don’t like the idea that it could be a danger to Linux Mint Mate itself. I would hope that the developers of Linux Mint even care about that possibility and are going to offer some compelling reason to use Linux Mint Mate over Ubuntu Mate.
