Thanks to your show, I ordered the top of the line Recompute Plus. This thing is sweet with a capital S. I opted for a couple upgrades. Extra 4 Gig memory, 1TB drive instead of 500MB. Since I ordered over the holidays, there was a short extra couple days delay. In that time they upgraded my video card to the next higher model number and also the processor from the advertised 2.8GHz to 3GHz, oh, and I also added a 16GB SSD. Boots in less than 20 seconds to full working Gnome desktop. That’s quicker than my Android phone. I added all the extras so I could run several VM’s at the same time plus act as my media server.

Thanks for having these guys on.
Alghough it’s a power house, the fan noise is minimal. It’s the quietist system I’ve owned. At times, my laptop is louder. I also added a dedicated video card. It does DVI, HDMI and regular VGA out. The latest Ubuntu is installed by default and runs perfectly.

I hope the new crew releases some episodes soon. I can’t wait.
