Hey guys! Brand new to Linux and this cast. Look forward to giving it a try!
I really liked the discussion about Ubuntu Mate and its impact on Linux Mint Mate edition. I am exctied to see that the Mate’ project is being used on another distro and I feel as though that will only increase interest in the desktop environment which I feel is well deserved. For Ubuntu to have a Mate edition is a good idea and if they had that at the start then I may not have even gone to Linux Mint in the first place. I do really hope that Linux Mint Mate edition does not drop in popularity but that there are anough people interested in using Mate’ to keep both distros thriving.
